New Race series coming to the South West

The BIG SWIM Aquathlon’s offer a good range of events as people can mix and match distances i.e. a 750m swim / 10km run to a 3.8km swim / 5km run. We are also running an open water clinic in the morning with some familiar coaches.

A unique opportunity to sponsor three top amateur athletes on their journey to compete in the most highly-prized triathlon event in the world – The Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Every year, tens of thousands of triathletes try to earn the right to race at the World Championships – only 1,800 succeed. These three athletes will not just take part but will be racing for the podium at one of the biggest challenges the sports world has to offer – 2.4 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and a 26.2-mile marathon run – in tough ocean waves, oppressive heat and challenging lava-covered terrain

Volcano CampMaybe now is a good time to sort out your training camps for 2010! With the weather as it is you are probably either stuck at home so not able to work, or stuck at work and not able to work as you are the only one there!  But also with the weather being so bad it really makes you realize that training in the Uk is not a great option for the whole winter!

We do have the following camps planned for the coming months but as always there is a real issue with the accommodation that is available. So regardless of if there are still places available on a camp once the accomodation has gone than that is it.

So if you are interested in joining any camp please try to sort out your accomodation ASAP

Racing in their new French Tri Club colours (Team Charente Triathletes) both Oliver and Oscar put in performances that made their mum and dad proud. Oscar lead from the start to win his 1km race around the town of Jarnac, and Oliver came in a very impressive 6th place in his 2km race.
